MAIZE RELIEF SOCIETY
January 2009

Discouragement, inadequacy, and weariness will give way to a life of meaning, grace, and fulfillment.” (President Dieter Uchtdorf, General Conference, October, 2008)

As women in Relief Society we can “create beauty and [be]… compassionate toward others”. As a Presidency, we challenge you to set goals to better fulfill your role as a woman.

2009 Areas of Focus:

• Spiritual Strength

January: Make sure you are on schedule to finish reading the Book of Mormon by our next Stake Conference.

• Missionary and Temple Work

o January: Invite one nonmember family over for dinner one night this month.

• Preparedness and Provident Living

o January: As a family/couple read “One for the Money” and discuss ways to apply the principles taught. ( See Sister Barnard for a copy of “One for the Money”)

• Service

o January: Make an extra call or visit to the sisters you Visit Teach to let them know you appreciate them.
